After hard workout or run, there is something so amazing about a smoothie. Even more amazing when it’s loaded with protein, fiber, real ingredients and nutrients to fuel you back up.
I got the chance to try out Sunwarrior’s Raw Vegan proteins and I loved them. In my blender, I combined Organic almond milk, frozen bananas, Chia seeds, coconut, spinach, and these raw, vegan, sprouted proteins.
Sunwarrior has all sorts of plant-based products to add to your drinks– protein, Ormus Greens, Sprouted Barley… I can’t wait to try them all!
On taste– I liked the chocolate over the vanilla (although the chocolate mixed with spinach yields an odd color). Thankfully, they were not very sweet and most sweetness came from the bananas. I have had some protein powders that were so artificially sweet, it was nauseating. But Sunwarrior’s mix is spot on.
I made these into smoothie bowls because I like eat my smoothies, instead of drink them. It is a psychological thing– I get more satisfaction and satiation when I eat my smoothie rather than when I drink them. Anyone else?

Side note, photographing these bad boyz is no easy task. The smoothie bowls I see on Instagram are filled with beautiful fruit and colored toppings, floating easily atop the bowl.
It’s a lie, it’s gotta be a lie.
I placed my sliced bananas on top and those little turds just SANK! It was like watching the Titanic. I was yelling at the bananas to stay afloat as I scrambled to get my camera as fast I could.
How many bananas do you see in the picture below? One and a half? Maybe a few peekers? Yeah… there are about 10 slices that were very camera-shy (or passed out and sank)
Place those blueberries on top? Nope, they need floaties. Look at this one barely afloat!
I mean, come on. It’s a lie, I swear.
Anyway, my photographs were taken mighty quickly after setting the toppings– and some not quick enough, but ya get what ya get.
Check out Sunwarrior’s products here and treat yourself to their plant-based proteins, vitamins and supplements!
Note: I received products from Sunwarrior free of charge, however, all opinions are my own.

I’ve been wondering about Sun Warrior! I use Perfect Fit protein right now, which is comparable, but a lot more expensive. Maybe I’ll have to give the ol’ SW a whirl next time.
BTW: totally agree with the LIES of smoothie photography! They’re hard af to capture right!

Haha, thank you! Someone who can understand the troubles of smoothie photography. Watching me try to photograph before the sinking was quite comical. You should try Sunwarrior out, I liked it! I haven’t tried Perfect Fit but I will look for it to see how it compares. Thanks for reading Emily!
