Do you remember when I posted about these Persian Spices I got from Raw Spice Bar? I received Mast-o-Khiar, Saffron threads, and Advieh Khoresht. I had never cooked with these spices, so thankfully I got these great recipes to go with!
I used the Mast-o-Khiar to create a delicious yogurt dip to go with these Rosemary Chicken Meatballs.
First off, the Mast-o-Khiar herbs were beautiful!!!! My goodness. With a dash of rose petals, they make anything look pretty.
It was a great blend of dill, mint, rose petals and black peppercorn. We put these spices in with some yogurt, cucumbers, garlic and lemon, and it was fantastic.
Raw Spice Bar is seriously the greatest idea! On their quarterly subscription ($26/quarter), you get 6 freshly ground spices & blends, which makes 2 meals a week for 3-4 people.
It’s a fun challenge to cook with new flavors and spices. I sometimes get boring with my cooking, and Raw Spice Bar is a great way to spice up your cooking! Plus, this would be a great gift for any cooks!
Below is my version of the yogurt dip. Next week I’m going to tackle the Advieh Khoresh!
Mast O Khiar Yogurt Dip

Ingredients
- 2 cups yogurt (We used Nancy’s Organic Whole Yogurt)
- 2 cloves of garlic, crushed

- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Fresh dill and mint, optional

Fold in the cucumbers
Top with fresh herbs and serve! Drizzle a nice olive oil on top.
