I have finally made my move to WordPress and y’all. I’m losing it. I could not tell you a single thing about coding, CSS PHP or computer technology in general. In fact, I didn’t even know what CSS PHP was until my friend mentioned it, and I looked it up. (For anyone curious, it stands for Cascading Style Sheets and Personal Home Page).
Anyway, the past few days my site has been under construction because I have been freaking out with all this programming lingo. Plugins? Hosting? What? FTP? Permalinks? Huh? God knows how many forums I read, I swear there was about 18 tabs open on my browser because I couldn’t continue one tutorial without doing some other step. And that step, I didn’t know how to do, so I would have to open another tutorial, and another and another… oh goodness. My brain.
Anyway, I’ve tried to do the best I can to transition smoothly. There are still a few glitches that I am working on, but bare with me while I learn. I was up until almost 3am last night working on it (by choice) but man, if this was my day job, I could do much neater things on here. The options are endless. Unfortunately, blogging does not pay the bills. (sigh)
If anyone can help me out, I would LOVE some advice, especially on a few things.
My biggest change is my new LOGO! Wee! :) Thanks to one of my best friends Lauren, the most creative and craftiest person I know (and maybe funniest), I’ve got a logo. And it’s got broccoli, of course! She also helped me design my business cards which I love.
So keep hanging around with my new site. I am going to a conference soon, so hopefully I will learn a lot there!
