It’s 2014.

Well hey there everyone, it has been quite awhile.  I can’t believe my last post was over a month ago.

Over the past month, I day dreamed up a lot of blog posts, but never actually wrote them.  I couldn’t really figure out why.  Was it the holidays?  The holidays were busy, yes, but I had a lot of great experiences and eats.  Was it my new job?  I love my new job and I am so happy with it.  I know my last job drove me to blogging because I was in dire need of a creative outlet.  Maybe I didn’t need this outlet anymore. Whatever it was, I just didn’t feel like blogging.

I remember when I used to post because I felt like “I need to get a post up this week”.  The passion and effort is so absent in those posts– I told myself I wouldn’t do that anymore.  So I didn’t.  The last few weeks I haven’t felt like writing or sharing, so I just went on my merry way.

But I’m back… at least for today.  So belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.  I’ve written out many goals for this year: including reading, watching movies (I know it sounds weird, but I literally never watch movies), outdoor activities, educational classes and a travel list that excites me so much.  Oh, and a half marathon.. ugh.  But I’m just three weeks out and training has gone surprisingly well.

Even as I am writing this post, I am getting excited to be back.  Now I remember why I started blogging. This blog gave me a reason to cook fun and new dishes, indulge in my love for food photography, and share my thoughts and inspirations.  (Not that I have very wise inspirations, but hey, I try.)

And because I know y’all love to see pictures… here is a glimpse of the last month.  Thanks for not losing faith in me, and I’ve got some good eats and recipes coming soon.

Happy 2014!
