We kicked off our new Alphabet Soup club this past weekend at ABGB: Austin Beer Garden Brewing. Last week, my roommate mentioned a neat brewery she had seen down south. When we were picking the “A” restaurant, it came to mind and it was perfect. Good pizza, good beers, and a good buzzing atmosphere.

There were 14 ladies and it was so much fun. But was packed! It was hard to get us all together, but eventually we were all in the same area. The inside is lined with long tables, and there is a nice outdoor area as well. Unfortunately, it was too chilly for us to enjoy the outdoors, but I know we’ll be back during the Spring.
You order at the bar and they give you a ‘number’, which are actually pictures of classic famous people.
We got an array of pizzas and salads. I highly recommend foregoing the salad and dig into the pizza. I shared the Prosciutto, Fig and Arugula pizza with some girls and it was freaking delicious. The pizzas have a thinner crust, but are fresh and not over greasy.
Pizzas ranged from $15-24, and beer from $4-6. They have happy hour Tuesday-Friday, 3-7pm, and you can get $1 off pints. For a girl who doesn’t drink Pale Ales, I was a big fan of the Day Trip Pale Ale.
Go check it out for yourself!
