I don’t even know if I can call this a recipe. You really just need to plop everything in a bowl. But this Greek yogurt and Chia was worth sharing because it takes less than 5 minutes to prepare and it packs protein and nutrients!
Greek yogurt with Chia seeds and Oats has become my breakfast staple for the last month. I go through waves of breakfasts. One month, I’ll want eggs every day. Another month I’ll want Greek yogurt every day, another month I’ll want steel cut oats every day… you get the picture.
The past month, it’s been Greek yogurt. I love Stonyfield Organic’s 0% Plain Greek Yogurt. Yogurt can have a lot of excess sugar, especially the flavored ones. Therefore, I always opt for plain and add my own fruit.
I also add steel cut oats, which was inspired from these overnight oats. The oats create a delicious, chewy texture, and add a hearty carbohydrate. For the fruit, I use a variety of blueberries, oranges, fuji apples, raspberries, or pineapple. Basically, whatever is on sale goes in my yogurt :)
For a quick on-the-go breakfast, prepare it in a tupperware the night before. In this recipe, you can jumpstart your day with 19g of protein, 19g carbs, 4g fiber, and 3g fat!
