JuiceLand Cleanse- Day 3

First off, I got an incredible mention on Women’s Health Magazine and my views have literally hit the roof.  I couldn’t believe the traffic coming in… it was quite exciting.  For a few hours, my site was down.   Y’all are breaking down my site!  Just kidding, it probably had nothing to do with you guys.  Anyway, thank you so much to my consistent readers and to the new visitors, welcome!  I hope you stick along.

As you read in my last posts, I have made it through Day 1 and Day 2 of this juice cleanse with JuiceLand.  I am on my FINAL day.  Oh my gosh, I can’t wait for tomorrow, I get to eat, praise the lord.

Luckily, Day 2 was easier than Day 1, and I am hoping Day 3 will be the same!  I don’t feel unbelievably bad, but I also don’t feel exceptionally well.  More to come on my concluding thoughts, after today.JL drinks 2

Here is how Day 3 went!

9:00am:  My alarm has been going off since 7:30 and I finally peel myself out of bed.   Oh my goodness, I slept TEN hours last night, and I feel exhausted.  My body feels as if I had a crazy hard workout the last two days… it’s physically beat.  At least I’m not hungry, but wow, I’m tired.

9:10:am:  (TMI warning)  I go the bathroom and am surprised that I poop.  It’s not much, but its red!  Welp, that’s definitely the ‘Cold Pressed Red’ from Day 1.  I didn’t drink a red juice on Day 2, so I know it’s from Day 1.  That’s a little bit slower movement than I’m used to, but hey… I’ll take it.

10:00am: I didn’t do any activity yet, so I decide to go with something less sweet.  My body doesn’t need the sugar carbs just yet.  I crack open the ‘Cold Pressed Green‘ and drink down 1/4.  I fill the rest with the Apple Lilly… because I’m still not that hard core yet.  I drink about half because I’m not that hungry.

11:00am:  (TMI warning again!)  I have diarrhea.  How in the world??????  I’m blown out of my mind.  Literally, mind-blown.  What in the world am I getting out?  Luckily, it’s not that bad, so I just continue on with my day.

11:15am: I decide to make myself some tea.  My wonderful parents still send me care packages, as if I was at sleep-away camp, and to this day, it still makes me SO excited.  They know me so well and pack some of my favorite goodies.  Last package I got home-made Nori crunch, kale chips, ginger pear white tea and dark chocolate… I’m so lucky :)  Anyway, I crack open the ginger pear tea and it’s very soothing and warming on this cold morning.

12:00pm:  I take another yoga lunch break and see some of my omies from CorePower Teacher Training, it was incredible to practice with them.  In class, I noticed that my sweat is much different.  It seems very thin, almost water-like.  I can’t really explain it.  I will have to pay attention to my usual sweat next week and compare.  I am guessing my body doesn’t have all the salts and toxins to push out.  Actually, more like no salt.

JL drinks

1:30pm: The hunger starts to set in, so while I drive out to a store location, I drink the rest of my ‘Apple Lilly’ and ‘Cold Pressed Green‘ concoction.  It seems to cure the hunger.

2:00pm:  I am in Whole Foods and realize I have a headache above my right eyebrow.  This is really rare– ever since I started eating healthier, I rarely get headaches.  (Unless I had a little bit too much fun the night before.)  I realize that I’ve only had 1.5 juices so far, so that’s probably why.

3:00pm:  I get back to my car and grab the Cold Pressed Red.  This might be my new favorite– it has carrots, beets, apples and turmeric and is just divine.  I drink the rest while I drive back into town. (juice, of course.)

4:00pm:  I park myself at Mozart’s to get some work done and realize my headache is gone. Yay!

5:00pm:  I start to get a little hungry, but my juice is in the car and I don’t want to leave my laptop.  I have a lot to do so I keep working and decide to push through.  I’ve got this beautiful patio and sunset to keep me content.Mozarts

7:30pm:  Ah, still not done with work but I am getting cold, hungry and bitten by mosquitoes.  Dang Texas.  When I get in my car, I start to drink the half-half Green and Apple Lilly.  It definitely cures the hunger feeling, but it isn’t very satisfying.  I drink half and decide to drink a different flavor when I get home.

7:45pm:  I drink half of the Fountain.  It tastes better than the last drink, but I’m still not satisfied.  I REALLY should not have let myself get this hungry.  Now I just want to eat.  It is tough now because mentally, I feel like I’m done… ‘I’ve made it until dark of Day 3’!  But no, I need to get through until tomorrow.  I swear, I want to wake up at 12:01 am and eat.

8:30pm:  This weekend, I am going to NEW ORLEANS for work!  Like any other time I visit a new city, I do a lot of research on things to see and places to eat.  Looking at all these yelp pictures of shrimp and crawfish is not helping… I probably should have thought this cleanse through, the seafood might be a shock to my system.

10:oopm:  Sleepiness is already kicking in.  How can it?  I slept TEN hours last night.  I usually sleep 6-7 hours, so this is really throwing me off.

But I’m almost there!!!!  I can taste the pasta already!  Yes, I bought pasta today in my excitement and mental preparation to eat tomorrow.  I am going to take it easy on my stomach– I’ve got fruit, a vegan soup and raw meals thought out, but I just need to eat some pasta.  For some strange reason, I am craving very, very ‘al-dente’ pasta…pasta

11:00pm:  I start to get a little hungry, so I drink the rest of the Cold Pressed Red.  Now I’m practically falling asleep at my computer… I’m almost home free!

Friday= food and Saturday= New Orleans food.

I will probably dream about food tonight.  Bring on the shrimp, crawfish, and gumbo!!!! (lightly… for sake of the acidic shock to my stomach)

Stay posted until tomorrow when I share the aftermath.  Thank you for continuing to read and for all the support I’ve gotten!
